Lane Cove FC – Junior Mixed Football
Super League Mixed U12-U18
Super League refers to the Mixed Youth Division 1 competitions from Under 12 to Under 18.
The aim of Super League is to provide a quality level of competition to our players by implementing minimum coaching and training standards while underpinning our Northern Tigers FC representative teams in the Football New South Wales competitions.
Diamond League operates across the following age groups: U12, U14, U16 and U18/20. In 2025, LCFC will be looking to fill teams across U12, U13 and U16 in the Super League. Teams train twice weekly and games are played Saturday mornings.
Trials occur around November/December each year. For more information and to register for the 2025 trials:

General Season Information
Winter Season begins normally the first week of April and runs through till the end of August on Saturdays for mixed teams between 8.30am and 1.00pm. Training begins once the children are selected into teams, and coaches are appointed and provided with their kit. This is generally by the middle of March for non-development league teams.
Parent participation with coaching and managing the teams is highly valued and helps our teams succeed. Lane Cove FC provides detailed coaches and managers manuals. Coaches are strongly encouraged to attend a “Grass-roots” coaching course where you will be taught the essential coaching skills. If you commit to coaching a team, the club will pay for this course which is generally run early in the season. Further information can be found under Coaches.
The Club provides playing shirts (which must be returned), and all training equipment for the teams. Players need to purchase shorts, socks, shinpads and boots. The socks and shorts can be purchased online during registration (shorts $22.00 & socks $11.00). Other football equipment is available from any sports store, but we would recommend visiting Rebel Sports. Make sure you tell them at the checkout that you are part of Lane Cove FC!
Grading and Selections for Juniors
For teams not within the Diamond League & Super League competitions, trials for all Junior age groups generally occur in mid-February – dates to be announced early February.
IMPORTANT: Different age-groups will have trials on different evenings and information will be sent to you if you have registered prior. It is very important that all players attend ALL trials so that we can make sure they are in the right teams.
Want to play with friends?
We have found that children generally play best when grouped with players on par with their playing capabilities. However, we acknowledge that some kids may prefer to be playing with their friends; while LCFC will make every effort to ensure our players are happy we cannot guarantee that every request will be accommodated. We are confident in our grading process and upon that process we will be able to deliver better training programs to improve football skills and overall game play making it more fun for everyone.
If you have any further questions, please contact LCFC on admin@lcfc.com.au or 02 9431 8648. We look forward to having a growing number of teams playing for Lane Cove FC this year and into the future!
Games
Full football rules are introduced at U12 and played in a competitive league format. Full sized pitches are then introduced at U13s. While we foster talent and strive to do the best we can, LCFC is a community football Club and we value participation and good sportsmanship and welcome players of all playing levels to enjoy the game.
