LCFC Behaviour & Discipline Policy

LCFC Policy on Behaviour and Discipline

Lane Cove Football Club players, officials and supporters are expected to display exemplary sportsmanship and behaviour on and off the field.

Players, team officials and supporters will show appropriate respect towards match officials (referees and assistants), whether officially appointed or club appointed, and shall abide at all times with the requests of such officials. Argumentative behaviour and inappropriate language will not be tolerated.

Players and supporters will comply with any reasonable request of Lane Cove FC Committee Members, Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA) officials and team coaches and managers, and will display courteous behaviour to these officials at all times.

Referees may penalise players for inappropriate play or behaviour on the field, and may also request team officials or supporters to leave the field in the case of inappropriate behaviour. Any such penalties or requests shall be complied with in good grace and without argument.

Players may be cited to appear before the NSFA Protests, Disputes and Disciplinary Committee. In this instance players will make every reasonable endeavour to attend on the nominated date, alternatively will advise LCFC Administration of their inability, within the required application period. The PD&D Committee may impose suspensions or other penalties as appropriate. Players may request a team official or committee member to accompany them to a hearing.

The Lane Cove Football Club Committee reserves the right to impose suspensions (independently or in addition to PD&D Committee suspensions), or participation in “club service”  activities in cases where the Committee considers player behaviour has brought the club into disrepute. In extreme cases the Club Committee can impose immediate de-registration from the club on a temporary or permanent basis. Player fees would not be refunded.
