Just weeks before the 2016 season was about to kick off, the U18A team were rocked by the tragic death of a close mate, and the news their goalie was out for the season due to injury.

Plus… they still didn’t have a coach! It looked like the season was going to be a long, sad affair.

There was no warming up to their first game – there were no training sessions and no friendlies. With broken hearts and spirits, they went straight into game one.

Fourteen games later, they emerged League winners! Top of the table!

Soccer was a positive outlet and support for these boys when they needed it most. Together, determination, courage, hard work and commitment saw them push through the hard times and emerge winners.

Coach, manager, parents and supporters alike – we are all so proud of this group of boys!

 

Training has been cancelled for 20/7/2016 and 21/07/2016 on Blackman 3, Blackman 4 and Pottery Green due to wet weather. Training on Blackman artificial pitches is due to go ahead at this stage. 

Dear LCFC Coaches,

Please be advised that tonight’s LCFC Coach Education Night has been cancelled. Jamie and his team will run another session later in the season – most likely at the beginning of August. The Club will inform you about the alternative date once it has been confirmed.

Due to the wet weather during the past weekend, Blackman Park 3 and 4 are still closed until Wednesday. As such, training for all U6-U9 teams will be cancelled this week.
