Cake Stall raised $ 780 for Nepalese family shelters on Saturday, 13 June 2015
In aid of the thousands of families left without shelter this monsoon, LCFC players and parents hold a cake stall on Saturday, 13 June, to raise funds to buy corrugated iron family packs. These packs will help families build temporary shelters now and then enable them to re-use the material to build permanent structures in the future.
100% of the funds will be directly transferred to a contact in Nepal who is buying the material and arranging the assembly and distribution.
With the help of their little sales team they raised $780. That in combination with the $800 raised at a similar stall at Regimental soccer field a few weeks ago, brings the grand total to $1580.
This will provide shelter to 16 families … an outstanding effort!!
