LCFC Governance Resources
For all LCFC Members
LCFC members are governed by, and agree to be bound by, all policies and procedures adopted by the club, along with all policies of the Northern Suburbs Football Association and Football NSW. A copy of NSFA’s Policies can be found here – https://nsfa.asn.au/the-association/policies/ while Football NSW policies can be found here – https://footballnsw.com.au/resource_type/policies/
Lane Cove FC has a Code of Conduct that applies to all players, parents, members, coaches, spectators and club officials. The Code of Conduct represents the minimum standard of expected behaviour across our club to ensure that playing football with Lane Cove FC is a fun, inclusive and safe environment for all players. All parties associated with the club should familiarise themselves with the Code of Conduct.
Lane Cove FC and its members are bound by the NSFA’s Member Protection Policy, a copy of which can be found on this page. The Member Protection Policy contains information in relation to child protection, child safety, complaints and other relevant matters to ensure that every person involved in our sport with respect and dignity and is safe and protected from abuse. Members should familiarise themselves with the Member Protection Policy and other policies on the NSFA website. LCFC has also prepared a Member Protection Presentation which provides further information and guidance for club members in dealing with member protection issues. A copy of this presentation can also be found on this page.
For Coaches and Managers
All Lane Cove FC coaches and managers are required to have in place, and provide to the club, a valid and current Working with Children Check from the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian. The WWCC documentation must be provided to the club prior to the first training session of the year.
Play by the Rules (www.playbytherules.net.au) is a unique collaboration between Sport Integrity Australia, Sport Australia, the Australian Human Rights Commission, all state and territory departments of sport and recreation, all state and territory anti-discrimination and human rights agencies, the Office of the Children’s Guardian (NSW) and the Anti-Discrimination Board of NSW.
Play by the Rules provides information, resources, tools and free online training to increase the capacity and capability of administrators, coaches, officials, players, parents and spectators to assist them in preventing and dealing with discrimination, harassment, child safety, inclusion and integrity issues in sport.
All LCFC Coaches, Managers and Committee Members are directed towards the online courses offered by PBTR (https://www.playbytherules.net.au/online-courses) and encouraged to undertake courses to increase their knowledge in areas related to child protection, harassment, complaints handling and inclusive coaching.
Lane Cove FC has also prepared an information pack for Managers to assist them in understanding the requirements of their role as Managers. A copy of this presentation can be found here – LCFC Coaches & Managers Info Pack 2023-04-20 (1)
